How JRP Hunter is funded

Running a price-comparison tool costs money (hosting, data, development). We cover that in two ways: affiliate links to some Japan Rail Pass sellers, and display advertising (Google AdSense). This lets us keep the tool free to use.

Affiliate links

When you click through to certain resellers and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you; you pay the same price either way. Where a “Buy” link is an affiliate link, we label it as such on the comparison table.

Commission never affects our rankings.Sellers are ordered purely by their final price and value to you. We also show sellers we have no affiliate relationship with, and we don't hide a cheaper non-affiliate option to push a paid one.

Advertising

We display ads via Google AdSense. Ads are clearly distinguishable from our content, never placed above the comparison tool or made to look like editorial recommendations. How ads use cookies is covered in our privacy policy.

Our promise

• Rankings are by price and value, not commission.
• All fees we know about are shown before you click out.
• No fake urgency, fake discounts, or misleading claims.
• Prices are estimates collected automatically, so always confirm on the seller's site.
